Problem still persists, even after a full unistall of arma 3 and the steam client itself. I hoped that the issue would resolve itself with the next update, but its still in full swing after patch 1.54.

Anything short of reinstalling steam and Arma 3. Switched the folder location forth and back.

Unsubscribed and resubscribed to a bunch of mods. Cleared my Workshop mod list from all deprecated mods that i was still subscribed to. Checked Arma 3's integrity cache, switched between dev branch and normal version. Is that an issue with steam or the launcher? What is responsible for copying the mods over? Does steam push or does the Arma 3 launcher pull the mods, so to speak? Obviously the launcher can't see them there. But they are not copied over to the Arma 3 folder where all mods are being stored by default. Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\107410 folder. Steam downloads them without issue to the. Then you can easily boot up tower unite and play, all you need to do now is to be patient while steam downloads any queued updates, then when those are done it will move on to the workshop content and then the models should show in game and in the in game workshop window.Since sometime in October, new Mods subscribed via the Steam Workshop don't show up in the Arma 3 launcher and the game itself. Personally i recommend the “always allow background downloads” option because then you’re guaranteed that it will download while the game is playing.

Then head into the tower unite properties in the library and go into updates, then make sure that the background downloads settings is set to either “follow my global settings” (only works if the global settings allows downloads while playing) or “always allow background downloads”. Head into the steam settings under the downloads section, then click on the “allow downloads during gameplay” box so that steam is able to finish queued downloads while you’re playing a game. Which leads to the workshop content not being downloaded because it has to wait for the game updates that aren’t being downloaded. It seems that recent events might have had a part in the cause of this issue.īasically this happens because game updates on steam take precedence over workshop content when it comes to downloads, and sadly by default steam is set to not download updates while a game is being played.
